VEGETABLES
The widest range of fruit and vegetable always in stock and a large selection of seasonal fruit and vegetables. We also stock a range of exotic fruit and vegetables from around the world. We always have at least 7 different types of potatoes these are the following:
- Maris Piper - Versatile all rounder, dry floury creamy white flesh, best chipping variety around.
- Kind Edwards - A firm favourite for roasting, creamy white flesh rarely discolouring
- Romano - Versatile allrounder particularly for baking
- Desiree - Pale yellow firm waxy flesh for general use
- Nadine/washed white - Good for boiling with its moist waxy texture that does not discolour, and general use
- Washed Mids/Maris Peer - Favoured by restaurants, creamy yellow flesh with excellent flavour and does not disintegrate
Some more specialist varieties are often stocked such as pink fir apple, black truffle or Red Duke of York.
